     In short, the internet is what makes up our everyday lives and for most of us, is reliable for many decisions and wonders in life. Although it may seem like a simple search engine that can get you from one tab to another, the internet is realistically a wide set of protocols that humans created and worked on in order for us to gain access to the World Wide Web. The intelligent individuals who founded the internet are Vinton Cerf and Bob Kahn. 1983 is the official release year of the internet seeing as this was the first year people could successfully communicate via computers. However, the internet was initially used for government researchers to share information.      The World Wide Web, also known as WWW, can indicate all public websites that different users across the world can access on their own devices via the internet. Hi, my name is Dylan Krapf and I'm from Long Island, New York. I'm a sophomore here at UT and I'm majoring in Marketing with a minor in Advertising. I started as a Biology major on the pre-dental track, but quickly realized it wasn't for me during my second semester of school. This past summer, my aunt started up a macaron business and needed someone to run her marketing and social media platforms, so I chose to do it for her since I've always had a slight passion for social media. Over time, I grew to love creating graphics for her posts and using my mind to find strategies for growing the account. So, I made the bold decision to switch my major and start a new educational career in marketing and advertising. I'm very excited to begin this class because I feel that it will allow me to dive more into designing and using my mind to create. It will also teach me tactics that I didn't know previously and will help me in my future career endeavors.
